Re: How about RTP, NC

I had the pleasure of staying in RTP twice. The first time, I stayed at the
Wingate Inn. It was an ok hotel, about $69 and free high-speed internet access.

The second time, I stayed at the Mariott Residence Inn - about $79 a night
and no internet access (outside of your phone line).

Both places are about the same distance from Cisco - a 5-10 minute drive at
most. However, the Residence Inn is much closer to places to eat - the
Wingate Inn isn't close to anything.

Overall, I'd pick the Residence Inn - more room to stress-out in and
attempt to relax inbetween days 1 and 2. :-)

As for a car, yes, you'll need one. And I'd recommend driving over to Cisco
the day before your lab just so you know where the place is. My first trip,
I drove over a day early and got lost on some backroad - I can only imagine
how much I would have been freaking out if I had done that on the actual
lab day.
