In their scenario, an AS (a) is generating a route and advertising that
route to another AS (b). The same AS generating the route (a) is also
advertising the route to a 3rd AS (c) who is advertising that route to (b).

Regardless of what the MED metric is set to from (a) to (b) or (c) to (b),
the MED will not be a contributing factor because the AS-path from (a) to
(b) is shorter!! As-path has a higher factor in path decision than MED!!!
