I don't know the coding difference between 5ess and ni, but it works.
No complain from me. : )

Ameritech told me the switch type was 5ess...from what i have understood
about isdn , spids dont need to be configured for 5ess. So to run some more
tests i got on the phone with ameritech and they gave me the spids !!!!
..with basic-ess i could configure only one spid and it wouldn't accept the
second one..I tried basic-ni1 with both spids configured and its talking to
the ess switch !!!!. Pings rock n roll now.
