The Cat 3920 doesn't do a good job at properly detecting half or full
duplex. I found that in token ring, if the switch thinks the router is full
duplex, but the router is only capable of half, you won't see any errors,
and the interfaces will show up/up. But, you won't be able to ping.
If you try wading your way through the menu, you should be able to find the
section where you can change ports, and you need to change the port to half
duplex station (assuming it says it's detecting full duplex).
