The Hutnik book isn't all that bad. The thing to keep in mind is that the
scenarios are designed around individual concepts of things. The CCIE lab
will put many of those concepts together in a bizarre configuration. THAT's
the part that makes the lab evil. Any issue taken by itself out of ANY CCIE
lab exam isn't difficult. Hence that you can solve it with the manual.
It's just HOW MANY, and how they're put together, and the limitation on time
that make the exam difficult!

Good luck to you Nigel. I have heard bad things about Giles, and I am
al littel skeptical about Hutnick as the scenarios seem too easy for
CCIE (based on conversations with my co-workers ho have passed and taken
the test). I ordered the Caslow book. have access to Vlabe by Mentor
Labs and they use a lot of Caslow's scenarios in their Labs. Also, you
may want to consider fatkid.com. They have scenarios too. Good luck.
