AT over DDR question

In the dialer map statement I didn't include the 'broadcast' keyword.

e.g dialer map appletalk 615.2 5551000

and the dialer-list statement I stated,

dialer-list 1 pro app permit

Broadcast didn't brings up the ISDN link despite there are interesing
traffic. This is due to the missing broadcast keyword on the dialer map
statment. I then use floating static, when the main link is down.

It seems to me I able to keep the ISDN line quite without defining a
restrictive dialer-list to block routing broadcast.

Is this right, if I do that for AT over DDR for ISDN backup. Or is there a
'correct' method?

Thanks
