I've seen this problem with Cabletron and Xylogics on older machines.
Check the serial settings (9600 baud, 2 stop bits, mode etc.) and the
pinouts. If you're certain the these are right, you may need to upgrade
the image on the TS - but I realize this is probably not an option. I
have some 2500 series and an AS5200 that have the rollover console
cable. These I have never been able to make work through a non-Cisco TS
- only consoles with the 25-pin connector seem to work, and they only
work with standard DTE/DCE to RJ-45 connectors. The Cisco adapters
don't seem to work unless your plugged into a PC with Hyperterminal.
It's amazing how something so simple can become such a nightmare.
