Eugene,
You may be right about the lab tests not representing a
real world client, but they do represent several clients
rolled into one. If you think about it, it is the only
way to test properly without having several small tests.
How would you like the test to be a week long? That is
probably how long it would take with real-world problems
to establish your proficiency.
On the CD; it is Cisco's intent to have at least one item
on the test that will force you to use the CD to solve.
Whether you know it well enough to find things without
searching is up to you.
If you do search, make sure you have experience searching.
Searching the CD is an art form that needs practice to be
proficient. Searching is a tool, just like anything else,
you need to know how to use it and when to use it.
