Hi,

This is a real life situation..

RTR1 - S0.1 -------- F/R --------- S0.6 RTR2

RTR1

interface Serial0.1 point-to-point
 description --- To RTR2 - S0.6 - CIR 64K - EIR 0
 ip address 10.48.180.229 255.255.255.252
 ip ospf hello-interval 30
 frame-relay interface-dlci 413 IETF

RTR2

interface Serial0.6 point-to-point
 description --- To RTR1 - S0.1 - CIR 64K - EIR 32
 ip address 10.48.180.230 255.255.255.252
 ip ospf cost 75
 ip ospf hello-interval 30
 frame-relay interface-dlci 413 IETF
  class 64k
!

1/ Once,
I could not ping from RTR1 owninterface 10.48.180.229
    BUT I could PING RTR2 10.48.180.230 from RTR1
and If I'm not mistaken I could PING RTR1 from RTR2 (not sure whether I did
it though)

and for some reason Now I can ping my own interface

    Do you know why ??

2/ When I ping RTR2 from RTR I get 136/140/160 ms, BUT when I ping RTYR1 own
interface I get 276/277/284 ms

I could imagine that Packet is going to RTR2 and bounce back to RTR1,becaus
e
of the IP to DLCI mapping, is that right ??

If YES,

Then Why don't I see any activity for "deb ip packet" in RTR2, does reverse ma
p
happen in layer 2 itself ??

3/ Can Someone guide me to a CCO or any other URL,

Regards
Sanjeewa
