    Title: RE: password recovery

Is this along the same lines of what you guys are talking about? I
   tried to be specific.

I have a 2509 using an octal cable so that I can reverse telnet to a
bunch of 2600's. When I am on my workstation- win95 using
hyperterminal - accessing the terminal server through the console
port, using reverse telnet I can reload the 2600's, do a ctrl-break
within hyperterminal to break into ROMMON on the 2600's and dont have
the need for my workstation to be directly connected to the 2600's.

In effect I can do password recovery on any one of my 2600's without
the need to be consoled into them.

So you're saying you can reload your router, do the break sequence
   through
the terminal server, and do password recovery? Or are you just saying
   you
can do <ctrl><shift>-6-x to go between routers? The latter is normal
   but
can you do the first one without doing it from a workstation running
unix? What sequence did you use (to do it through the terminal
   server)?
