EIGRP and DDR
===========

IPX EIGRP can do DDR defintely. Use ipx hello-interval eigrp and ipx hold-time
eigrp to prevent the EIGRP packets from keeping the ISDN line constantly active
. Also, use the command ipx-sap-incremental eigrp to control the SAP updates. A
ppleTalk EIGRP can also be used on DDR link. And I will not be surprised that I
P EIGRP works also on DDR too. Actually, I just checked on th CCO: for IP, you
have ip
hello-interval eigrp and ip hold-time eigrp. It is exactly like IPX.
Configuring Cisco Routers for Bridging, DLSW+ & Desktop Protocols cover EIGRP f
or IPX and AT by Tan Nam-Kee.

s handy, but all you need to do is enter the 'ip ospf demand-circuit' in interf
ace configuration mode. It only needs to be done to one side of the link. Wit
h this, your LSAs from across the link should be marked DNA (do not age) in the
 link state database, and your demand circuit neighbor should not have a hold t
imer.
