EIGRP cannot do DDR. The necessity of the Hellos prevents it.
OSPF uses a feature called Demand Circuit to do DDR. I don't have any configs
handy, but all you need to do is enter the 'ip ospf demand-circuit' in interfac
e configuration mode. It only needs to be done to one side of the link. With
this, your LSAs from across the link should be marked DNA (do not age) in the l
ink state database, and your demand circuit neighbor should not have a hold tim
er.
