My understanding is that you do not need it if you are only using Ethernet.
Since token ring needs to have the topology of
ring-bridge----ring---bridge--ring, you need a virtual ring in the middle.
Ethernet does not need a ring. It needs
Ethernet----bridge---cloud---bridge---ethernet.

Subject: DLSW+ and Ethernet
Hi All,
1.
serial
Eth--R1-----------R2--Eth
If I need to configure DLSW+ between Eth of R1 and Eth
of R2, do I need
source-bridge ring-group 100
command on R1 and R2?
2.
serial
Eth--R1-------------R2--Tring
Do I need this command in this situation on R1?
Any ideas...
Mohan.
