RE: dsl and 2511

It's not actually "dialing" out per say. It's doing
username and password authentication. Then they dhcp
me an address. By using dhcp instead of static ip, I
am not able to assign the ip address and default
gateway to my router. Then they are doing some sort
of keepalive where every 10 seconds they are sending a
packet to my mac address. So even after I get the
dhcp address, I can't assign that to my router. I
tried hooking the router, dsl modem and my pc to a
hub. After getting the ip address, I assigned the ip
address to the router ethernet interface and unhooked
my pc. It didn't work since they are sending some
sort of information of my mac address. I wonder if I
spoofed my mac address on my router to be the same as
the mac address of my pc if that will work. I have to
give it a try.
Thanks for all the suggestions.
