To return from R3 to R2, use the sequence Ctrl-Shift-6, Ctrl-Shift-6, x.
You can daisy chain telnets between a number of routers, and move between
them by using various numbers of escapes (Ctrl-shift-6). Escape, x moves you
back to your 'root' router. Escape, escape, x moves you to one router down
from the root. Escape, escape, escape, x moves you to two routers down from
the root etc.
I found this by accident, and although I don't use it often, have found
occasions where it's useful.
