Going back through some email, sorry if someone else answered this and I
missed it... Also sorry for the late post...

When you 'reverse-telnet' the telnet session you create actually terminates
into 200.200.200.1 (ie. your 2509). It uses an ip port to 'go-out' the
async-port. As such what you are seeing is your own router (2509) is
refusing to allow another incoming telnet session.

I bet you have 'line vty 0 4' in your config. This will allow 4 inbound
telnet sessions (the one where you telneted to the 2509 and 3 where you
reverse-telneted). Try changing that to something like 'line vty 0 18'.

Subject: Reverse telnet problem on 2509

Hi,
i am doing reverse telnet from 2509 with connection to 8 other routers. My
problem is after 3 connections, i cannot access other routers via reverse
telnet. This what i did :
>From 2509 :
#telnet 200.200.200.1 2001
...access the router, then ctrl-shift-6, then 'x'.
#disconnect 1
repeat the process, but after the 3 connection, problem popped in. Error
message : Remote host refused connection.
Is anyone has similiar experience ? cheers
winston
