EIGRP : no hold-time timer ?

Hi.

I thought I was quite good at IGRP and EIGRP until I read Caslow's book.It says
 that EIGRP doesn't have hold down nor flush timers (as IGRP has)but if I remem
ber correctly, "ip hold-time eigrp" command does exist...I know I must be overl
ooking/missing something important... Can anyone explain this?
