Yes sub interfaces can be used X25. I am starting on some simple
configurations to get the bugs out (many since I don't have a
tremendous X25 exp), but (I believe) you can't have multiple layer 2
addresses on them. Therefore you have to use maps or a pvc. If anyone
out there is an X25 guru...
Here is the Cisco config guide that I have been using to study with.
There weren't any options for x25 address under the subint config
section, only map and pvc.
Configuring X.25 and LAPB - Subinterfaces
!
interface Serial0/0
no ip address
no ip directed-broadcast
encapsulation x25
no ip mroute-cache
shutdown
!
interface Serial0/0.1 multipoint
ip address 9.1.1.4 255.255.255.240
no ip directed-broadcast
no ip mroute-cache
!
interface Serial0/0.2 point-to-point
ip address 10.1.1.4 255.255.255.240
no ip directed-broadcast
no ip mroute-cache

Can subinterfaces be used with x25? I can not find a way to enter a
x21 address under a subinterface.
If any one has any info on x25 and subinterfaces I would appreciate
it.
