Well, I passed in San Jose on my first try. Peter, you were right. First
time can be a charm =)

To quote what a second timer said this morning while waiting to see if we
made it to day two; "Cisco really raised the bar with this one". Day one
was tough... I actually stayed out late since I was convinced I didn't make
it. I didn't have time to go through and double check everything before
leaving for the day. But alas, somehow I was the only one with a day 2
binder in the morning... Much to my relief, I had about an hour to go
through and re-check everything before taking lunch. And troubleshooting
wasn't too bad.

As for my tips, go through every scenario you can get your hands on. Make
up your own.. Read the config guides and command references. Books like
the Caslow, Doyle & Halabi are necessary reading, but don't let that
substitute for the good old IOS command references... My biggest mistake
was not reading the IOS references. Oh, and I guess they don't like to keep
the equipment list up to date, which ended up costing me an hour for
something that was obscenely simple and I should have known... Does Cisco
make any MAU's? Hmm, they do make Token Ring switches that don't negotiate
duplex with older routers very well...

So, now what am I supposed to do with myself?
