As far as I know, the only difference is the command syntax. From all my
reading,
on 75xx & 4xxx routers running 11.3(x) uses "atm pvc 1 0 105 aal5snap"; on
12.0(x)
Cisco introduces new "pvc x/y" syntax and support the "old" way as well.
(pretty
much like "show run" and "write term"). On 36xx plateform running
12.0(3)T3, I've
only used "atm pvc" before.

Actually, someone told me he put "atm pvc" syntax on a router (forgot the
version no.) and got a message stated "...this is the old command
syntax..." something like that. The bottom line, use the one you know it
works.
