You can use virtual token-ring interfaces in IOS 11.3 and up to simulate a lot
of the token ring requirements - I'd save my money there and get some ISDN equi
pment and lines instead.
The LS1010 was *not* on the R/S lab equipment list, last time I looked on Cisco
's web site.
Good luck!

Hi everyone.
I've been trying to figure out what to get for my CCIE home lab. I'm not on th
e tightest budget, so I can splurge a little. I can always sell stuff off late
r. I already own a 2501 and 2507. What I'm going to add is:
*Catalyst 5000 (trying to find a cheap LS1010, but can you do anything with jus
t 1?)
*2600/3600, both with voice cards and token ring (because I have little exp. wi
th either)
Can anyone help me think of anything else I should think about getting? Should
I be set with this lab? What would you guys get if you could have anything (t
o prepare for the lab)?
Thanks.
