Scenario 6 is a simple transparent bridging example that involves
manipulation of the spanning tree such that R! is
root and R2/R3 E0 is blocking. This scenario requires that
bridging be configured on all interfaces, that BPDU's are exchanged over
the serial lines, and the spanning tree parameters be manipulated to
achieve the desired result.

Scenario 7 builds on scenario 6 with the added configuration
required for IRB. Manipulation of the spanning tree is still required
to get R1 S0 in blocking state.

If you have other questions, post configurations, the result of
the show span on routers (and sh spantree on the Cat), and the result
for show bridge on the routers.
