I found this strange behaviour. When I enable bridging (IRB) in an Ethernet
interfaces it stops hearing all kind of hello packets . This happens with
HSRP and OSPF packets although it keeps sending them.
I have R3 and R2 connected on the same Ethernet segment and R3 is active
HSRP router and they are running ospf. My IRB is routing IP and there is
nothing configured in the BVI ( protocols) , I can make ping from R2 to R3
both ways but R3 is no getting the hellos packets from R2 but it is sending
his hellos packets.

Something similar is happen with ospf , from R3 I saw no neighbours but from
R2 I saw R3 in a INIT state .If I put the IP and OSPF configuration on the
BVI interface OSPF works fine .
