Thanks a lot everyone. I used to be a programmer, did desktop support for 2
years then moved to Cisco for 2 years. I paid everything by myself. I didn't
take any training, all self study. I know I'm far from "expert", but I'm
happy I have a good start.

Congratulations. What is your background? How long have you been working
with Cisco equipment and internetworking? I see you work for Lucent. Did
they sponsor your training for the CCIE? If so, in what way? I'm planning
to attempt the CCIE after getting my CCNP, but I don't get to interact with
many other Cisco certified people.
