SPAN (Switched Port Analyzer) will mirror traffic from any number of
ports on the switch to the port on which your Sniffer resides. Use
   the "set span" command.

   Hello.

I dont have experience of using any Sniffer product.

I have just ordered an Evaluation CD from of 'Sniffer'. Please give me
tips how to detect IPX Network and Frame Type using Sniffer.

If I am working on a Catalyst Switch, the guy on phone told
me that I need to configure some Span Port to do this.

Please give me tips , what are the main points I have to
consider to detect Net and Frame Type

   TIA
   KHURRAM.
