When I ping a multicast address (running dense mode), the reply to the
ping is different from a normal ping. Below is the result of a ping to
a multicast address, and the second ping is to the interface that
replied to the multicast. Why do they show up as different? Is this
normal?

london#ping 225.5.5.20

Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 1, 100-byte ICMP Echoes to 225.5.5.20, timeout is 2 seconds:

Reply to request 0 from 192.168.20.2, 172 ms

london#ping 192.168.20.2
