Without breaking the NDA, being intentionally vague...

Be capable of doing both and you should be covered because there
aren't many other ways to access a rack full of routers that are
   sitting right next to you.

Then again, don't a lot of questions about "what's on the CCIE lab"
get the answer "could be anything and everything"?

Knowing the OS on the PC is of little value because you only get one
thing out of it... access to the documentation CD. Obviously, some
method of accessing the routers will be in the lab. The differences
between the varying operating systems out there are of no consequence
to these functions. Additionally, I don't even remember what OS is
   used in the lab.

Since they tell you that you'll get the standard documentation CD, you
can look at what operating systems are supported.

   Good luck!

   Hi groups

I prefer to use multiple telnet sessions (not hyperterm) from PC to
term_server to config different routers, but I am not sure whether
   there is
an ethernet card installed on the Lab PC, or I have to use Hyperterm
   and
Ctrl_Shift_^ x to switch between routers?

which OS is used on the PC? (windows NT or windows 98 ?)

can someone answer these questions without breaking the NDA?

   TIA
