Hi
My mate bought those labs and found them to be extremely useful. The problem
with putting together your own practice-labs is that you already know how it is
supposed to look before you start configuring the boxes. With the cciebootcamp
labs, you dont have this option and everything is new.
The other option (much cheaper) is to get somebody to draw up some labs for you
to put together. It would be even better if that person could configure the
frame-relay switch and force you to use inverse-arp to discover DLCIs and PVCs.
This option is cheaper, but (after a while) gets on the nerves of the poor lab
designer.
In the Cisco lab you are given a network diagram which you have to string
together. Prior to getting in the lab you have no idea what this diagram looks
like. The more practice you can get at putting together unknown networks in a
timely manner, the better off you will be.
