The author is emphasizing that if you have an
virtual-link across the dial up line, and you use on
demand configuration on this interface, both and
virtual link and the non-virtual ospf link(remember
that you definitely already have an non-backbone area
across the dial up line, otherwise the virtual link is
meaningless), will be treated as demand routes.
