All:
Just wanted to say that I finally earned my CCIE this last weekend. I wanted
to let you know what I found to be the most helpful factors in my success.
1. Hands-on experience . . Get it or you will not pass (I used
http://www.fatkid.com) I would highly recommend the fatkid site as a place
to brush up (Or make it your initial learning point) your skills before you
actually go for the lab. I can say that the equipment and pricing is exactly
what Derek says it is on the fatkid site.
2. Get a study partner to bounce questions off of. I had a friend in
California (You know who you are) and I attribute our long-distance studying
together as a major factor in my success.
3. This mailing list. Read everything that comes through this list and LEARN
it. I can't tell you how many things I've seen in this list and HADN'T
studied on my own came up in the lab. If it weren't for this list I wouldn't
been able to make it to Troubleshooting. Thanks to everyone in this list.
Regards,
Darrel Hinshaw
