Not sure about the address you are using have you tried a more basic address
like network 100 host 0001.0001.0001? (also written 100.1.1.1 )
1) ipx route 20 N.H.H.H (where N.H.H.H is the next hop ipx
interface)
follow this by ? and follow with proper hop and tick syntax
2) ipx sap 4 name_of_server 20.abcd.1234.5678 0 2..... (0 is for all
sockets, 2 is hops)
2 cents,
Randall

Subject: IPX on Token Ring
Hi All,
If I have an IPX server on a token ring network with address ABCD.1234.5678,
how do I set a static sap and a static route to this server?
I've tried the following command, but it didn't work:
ipx sap 4 FILE 20.ABCD.1234.5678 452 1
the router will give me an error saying:
%Illegal IPX address - multicast not permitted
Any ideas?
