Derek,
Yes you can use CSU/DSU back to back. I am using 8 to provide 4 "circuits"
for my home lab. You have to set one of the CSU/DSU's in each pair to
provide clocking (timing) and set the other to receive timing. You also need
to make a CSU/DSU crossover cable (RJ45) with the following pin-out
1 5
2 4
4 2
5 1
I hope that this helps.
Regards,
Darrel

Subject: CSU/DSU Back to Back
Hi,
Can someone tell me whether or not I can hook up two CSU/DSU's back to
back?
I would like to play around with configuring channelized T1's connected via
Sync Serial ports.
I also want to configure a PRI but can't afford a simulator that can handle
it. As the framing and linecode are the same as a T1, is there some way one
could emulate a PRI?
Thank you,
-Derek
