Hi Benjy,
You can use:
ip ospf demand-circuit command on interface dial 1 (any number you define.)
Hello packet will be suppressed and LSA entries with DNA will be created in
the OSPF database
To make sure only non-routing protocol initiate a call. You should define a
dial-list which permit only non-routing protocol. e.g.
dial-list 1 protocol ip list 101
access-list 101 deny ospf any any
access-list 101 permit ip any any
When you use dialer profile, you should use dialer-string. Router treat it
as a point to point interface, just like the case of frame-relay
poinit-to-point sub-interface. The next-hop to destination will be the bri 0
interface. For legacy dialer map ip host .... command, the next-hop will be
the host address

Subject: ISDN Dialer Profile and OSPF
Hi Gang,
Is it possible to route OSPF over ISDN with a Dialer Profile instead of
using Legacy ISDN? I have configured 2 routers using dialer profiles, which
uses a dial string, and won't allow "broadcast" ospf traffic and therefore
will not establish neighbor adjacencies. If I could use the "dialer map
ip...broadcast.." command I'd be all set. Can anyone help. I will pay!!!
Just kidding boys!
Thanks in Adv.
