I'm having difficulty with multicast routing over a frame network. Here's
my setup...
R1 ---- R2 ----- R3
R2 is frame hub with phys multipoint int, R1 & R3 are spokes with point to
point subinterfaces. All routing and ip connectivity is good.
Sample configs:
R1:
Int E0
ip igmp join-group 224.10.1.2
ip pim dense-mode
Int S0.1
ip pim dense-mode
R2:
Int E0
ip igmp join-group 224.10.1.2
ip pim dense-mode
Int S0
ip pim dense-mode
R3
Int E0
ip igmp join-group 224.10.1.2
ip pim dense-mode
Int S0.1
ip pim dense-mode
Pinging the multicast address 224.10.1.2 from R2 gets responses from R1 &
R3. Pining from R1 there's no response from R3 and from R3 nothing from R1.
It's similar to a split-horizon problem.. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks - Ed
