I took the course in April with CCCI. Bruce did a great the job. I highly
recommend reading if not only browsing his book before it. He covers a lot
from his book. If you have a head start, you can spend more time trying
stuff outside of the coursework. It is a long week. Average start time was
8:30ish and left usually between 9 and 10. It is the best "Cisco" class
that you can take.
Some argue that for $3500 you can take the lab twice. I agree somewhat. If
you feel that you have a solid base and can do everything in his book, you
are at least 50% of the way there. I would say that you have to get crazy
with configs for another 30%. 10% would go to lab experience and the last
10% we will give to luck or good fortune.
His class depending on how much you prepare and put into it will get you
closer to 65% there. What is really nice is that you have a lot of
equipment, a lot of time to dedicate, a great instructor, and a lot of
intelligent classmates.
I would take this class if you have a hard time finding time to study. Take
it about 6 weeks before your lab. Then hit the crazy configs over the next
weeks.

1. Both. you'll get additional labs and a copy of Caslow's book.
2. Very. Pay attention to the psychology part, but it helps a whole lot!
