Not knowing just what ATM hardware is going to be in the lab, I'd also suggest
making sure you know the differences between the LANE module and the ATM Fabric
Integration module. Minor syntax differences in the configuration of the LANE
database is probably the primary distinction, aside from the obvious need for a
n
external connection for the LANE module. I discovered this because I thought I
could simply cut and paste my config from one to the other. NOPE. I suspect the
LANE module to be more likely since it supports token ring...
Over the past couple weeks I've been fortunate enough to set up 10 lightstreams
and 5500s with a mix of TR and ethernet. If anyone is interested, I logged a lo
t
of command output and configuration info to text files. After I delete
confidential info, I'd be willing to share them. Not a substitute for hands-on
time, but better than nothing :-)
