Hi...

I do not have a UNIX machine. Is it possible to use 2 routers
to simulate rsh and rcp ??

    172.16.1.1/24 172.16.1.2/24
[R1]--------------------------------------[R2]

R1 is the rsh server
---------------------

ip rcmd rsh-enable
ip rcmd remote-host ccie 172.16.1.2 engwee

where ccie=local username, 172.16.1.2=remote host ip, engwee=remote
username

at R2
------

R2# rsh 172.16.1.1 /user ccie sh ver
%permission denied

Q: why at the server we need to specify remote username ? I asked this
question becos
at R2, i assume I don't need it to execute the rsh command.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks
Eng Wee
