   Ben,
I used this setup for some time. While this gave me the facility of
having 4 ports on my 2501, my config used to give problem once in a
while. Some times after i power cycle a router, the async port used to
go "up and reset ". The status keeps on toggling. I didn't find a fix
to this. I am not using this any more as i have enough routers for my
prep now. But this is just fine if you don't power-cycle your routers
   too often. The config,

   int asy 1
   ip addr a.a.a.a m.m.m.m
   encap ppp

   !always ppp
   asy mode ded

!enable routing to work on this
   asy defa routi
   asy dyn rou

Use Roll-over cable between the routers. PLease let me know if you
find a solution to the toggling prob.

   Regards,

   Gopal

   Hi guys,

I am wondering how to configure the aux 0 ports on my routers for
connectivity between two routers. I understand that I can route over
those ports. Can you give me some configs?

   Thanks,
