Many thanks to you all, I finally got your suggestions to work.

First of all, I had to upgrade one of my routers to 11.3 to get it to
   work.

Second, I used the loopback intf command....ip ospf network
   point-to-point

I thought this command was used, for example, in frame-relay to set
the timers so you don't have mismatched network types for different
interfaces, ie point-to-multi, physical, and point-to-point
interfaces. Is this correct? This is the first time I am seeing this
   command in use.

I am so glad you guys could help.

Joe, I'm pretty sure your suggestion of using the summary feature
under ospf would work as well. I haven't had time to double check,
   thanks though.

   One step closer,
