Other Thoughts and Questions on The Lab

Hi all,

First off, thanks to Paul B. for keeping these lists moving,
and to the real contributors. Even with all the 'what do I
study to pass the XYZ test' questions, there's some good
stuff there.

I picked up Bruce Caslow's book in December 1998. I really
like his structured approach, versus 'know everything in
IOS'. I used it to identify holes in my personal repertoire
and then create a schedule of stuff to read and practice
from now until my test (May 11&12). BTW, I also took
Bruce's class (ECP1) and found it to be *extremely*
helpful. I'm basically using the labs from that class as
practice, as well as other stuff I've picked up and that my
colleagues put together (thanks, Joe S.!).

Now don't ask me how well I've kept to that schedule...

Here are some other questions:

(1) On documenting your steps: Is there any particular
format that's helpful? Should we be using anything in
particular from CIT?

(2) How much will the CD reference material really help you
during the test?

(3) Are there any _good_ statistics on the first-time pass
rate for this exam? There's alot of speculation out there,
but I'm just curious to see if there are any good numbers.

Keep pressing on, folks.

Thanks,
Scott
